Design Brief
Situated on the outskirts of Vellore, this residence is composed of intersecting volumes and layered planes. The design transforms a conventional residential footprint into a structured, contemporary form. Functional zoning and spatial clarity guide the planning approach.

Two projecting cubic volumes define the upper level, emphasizing horizontal alignment and controlled articulation. A vertical slit window punctuates the façade, enhancing rhythm and light ingress. Recessed glazing and framed voids ensure privacy while maintaining openness.
Deep overhangs and shaded entry thresholds respond to climatic demands and orientation. The architecture avoids surface ornamentation, relying on proportion and massing. The project reflects SCULT DESIGN LAB’s focus on spatial coherence, contextual grounding, and the pursuit of clarity in built form.
